Taking our hurts to Jesus

It is painful when a loved one hurts us. A friend told me a story of when her partner had cheated on her. She was in the car screaming in emotional pain, crying her eyes out. Her heart hurt so bad it felt like it was going to explode inside of her. She started crying out to God, “Lord take this pain away from me!” In an instant the pain was gone. She looked up in shock while with her hands she was patting around her heart, trying to find the pain. All the pain of her partner cheating on her had vanished. She started praising God, realizing that in an instant He had healed her and taken away all the pain.
 
God truly and deeply loves us. When we hurt, Jesus hurts. The Bible says that God is close to the broken hearted. He is with us in the middle of our pain. Sometimes the Lord takes it away in an instant just like my friend and sometimes He walks out the process to heal us over time.  Either way God wants to heal our hurts, our deep hurts. If you have hurts, if you are in pain because of what life has thrown at you, then take it to Jesus. Say, “Jesus here is all my hurt, my pain, my disappointments and my struggles. I give it all to you.”
Cast your cares on Jesus for He cares for you.
